Jeff joined the firm of Sewells in 1985 and became a partner of that firm in 1990.

Jeff attended Monash University where he attained a Bachelor of Economics in 1982 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1984. He was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in 1985. Jeff has been involved in many different areas of law including general civil litigation, commercial law with particular emphasis on commercial leases and purchases and sales of businesses. Jeff has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in the Federal Court, Supreme Court, County Court and the Magistrates’ Courts and in many of the VCAT Tribunals. In recent times, he has represented both executors and plaintiffs in disputes over the adequacy of provision made for relatives or friends under wills of deceased persons.

After 2015 Jeff ceased to have an ownership role in the business and has continued as a part-time consultant assisting and mentoring other lawyers in the business as required.

Outside of work, Jeff’s interests revolve around his family including four children.
